Wolf Fight Tonight (LP VER)

lyrics

There’s this old farmer Joe he’s a frosty fellow
Tends to his flock keeps to himself ‘round the clock
He lives at the foot of the hills the Tararua hills
West of Carterton is where this folk tales begun

In the dead of night Joe wakes with a fright
A disturbance he hears something attacking his flock he fears
His mind runs on full as he loads his rifle
Heads for the hills in search of a kill
He finds an atrocious scene with bones picked clean
His rage it flares he has to sort these affairs

Up through the goat track Joe comes to a shack
Where a new neighbour resides dark and mysterious he hides
Peter Stumpp is his name from a town is Europe he came
Joe knocks at the door a bright moon beams galore
Strange sounds he hears from inside the shack he swears
Joe bursts through the door not knowing what’s in store

Movements are quick farmer Joe feels sick
As he runs for his life looks as though he’s been cut by a knife
He knows this not true maybe something escaped from a zoo
He can’t be sure his eyesights to poor
And in that darkened shack what was that

Wolf Fight Tonight!

Joe falls to his knees asks “God save me please”
He feels the devil in his veins now off come the chains
The wolf is coming out of that there is no doubt

Wolf Fight Tonight!
